Water stories are easy to sentimentalize and hard to finish. TRACE Foundation funded a ridge-line spring protection and gravity feed after TRACE investigations documented how a private diversion had quietly redrawn access for three hamlets.
The engineering is simple. The governance is not. A water committee now meets monthly. Maintenance is local. Our role is to resource the first season and then get out of the way — and to keep documenting whether the tap still runs when we are not there.
